One of the investigators of the case told that Aftab is very clever and can bring a new twist in the case anytime.
He said that Aftab has fully followed the instructions of the police. He confessed to his crime, cooperated with the police and agreed to polygraph and narco tests. But now the police have started doubting his 'good' behavior.
Initially, Aftab was trying to mislead the Mumbai Police. But, as soon as the matter came under the jurisdiction of Delhi Police, he started confessing all the crime. In such a situation, the police suspect that this may be a part of his conspiracy.
Now the police want to get Aftab's narco test done as soon as possible, so that everything going on in his mind can come in front of the police. The date of narco test given earlier by the court to the police also got preponderated from 5th December to 1st December.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Delhi Court had allowed the Delhi Police to conduct a narco test on Shraddha Walker accused Aftab Amin Poonawalla on December 1.
Special CP (Law and Order) Sagar Preet Hooda had said that Delhi Police will take permission from the court for the test.
Aftab is accused of strangling his live-in partner Shraddha to death and dismembering her body into 35 pieces. He is also alleged to have kept the severed body parts in a refrigerator before dumping them in the forests of Delhi and Gurugram.
Police had earlier said that Aftab, who confessed to killing Shraddha and dismembering her body into 35 pieces, was giving misleading answers to questions.
Delhi Police had said in the court that Aftab was giving wrong information and misleading the investigation.
